My experience at Tahoe Valley Campground was mixed. The location was excellent, being close to shopping and recreational areas, but I faced several issues during my stay. The electrical system seemed overwhelmed, and the setup for RVs wasn't managed well, making it difficult at times. Overall, I found it to be a bit too expensive for the amenities provided.
The site assigned to me was too short, impacting my ability to use the RV slides. I had to search for another site, which added stress to my check-in process.
When I arrived, the office staff seemed overwhelmed and couldn't help me find my reserved site. It detracted from the overall experience, as I expected better service.
The campground is ideally situated close to casinos and shops, which was one of the highlights of my stay. It offered a great base for exploring South Lake Tahoe.
While there were options for light snacks, I found myself looking for better dining experiences offsite. The choices available were a bit limited.
I noticed that the electrical system for RVs was overloaded, affecting the appliances. Additionally, I couldn't access the pool due to ongoing construction which was disappointing.

I had a mixed experience at Tahoe Valley Campground. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. However, the campground was quite dusty, and the cleanliness of the facilities could be improved, particularly with the bathrooms needing renovations. The location was fantastic for accessing beautiful spots around Lake Tahoe, but my overall satisfaction hinged on my campsite's position and neighbors.
Many sites are small and close together, affecting privacy.
The staff, including Janice and Dave, were attentive and made our stay enjoyable.
Great access to Lake Tahoe and nearby beaches, just a bike ride away.
Did not try the food but heard good things about the hot dogs at the Dawg House.
Bathrooms were clean but needed refurbishment, including addressing standing water.

My stay at Tahoe Valley Campground was quite enjoyable overall, with a few drawbacks. The staff made my experience nice with their friendliness and helpfulness, but I did find the dusty conditions challenging, especially with dirt tracked into my camper. The site I had was relatively spacious compared to others, but the closeness to neighboring sites could have impacted comfort during busier weekends. Overall, I appreciated the activities and the location's proximity to Lake Tahoe.
The campsites varied in size, and my site was relatively larger than others, which was a bonus. However, I wish the ground had gravel instead of just dirt to minimize track-in dirt and dust.
The staff were truly amazing! They were always friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome. I especially appreciated how they handled the wildlife situation, including escorting a bear away from our site without fuss.
The campground is conveniently located near Lake Tahoe, making it easy to access beautiful beaches and trails. It felt like being in a serene, wooded area, although the dusty conditions were a bit of a drawback.
I enjoyed the ice cream social and heard good things about the hot dogs at the Dawg House, though I didn't get a chance to try them myself.
The communal bathrooms were decent given the conditions, but could be improved in cleanliness due to some campers not being as careful as I would have liked. The kids' playground was a bit small and dusty, which was less than ideal.

I had a mixed experience at Tahoe Valley Campground. The on-site staff were friendly and accommodating, though I found the bathrooms to be quite dirty during my stay. While the campground's location is nice and the activities are engaging, I was frustrated by the site's lottery system for assignments and the overall cleanliness issues.
The sites vary significantly, with some having wood chips that help with dust, while others were not as pleasant.
The staff were very nice and accommodating, but I encountered issues with the call center's responsiveness.
The campground is in a beautiful location, though I felt the sites were too close for privacy.
I enjoyed the pizza from the vendor inside the campground, but the general store was lacking in essential supplies.
While some amenities like the pool were open, the bathrooms were poorly maintained, and garbage removal was insufficient.

Tahoe Valley Campground was a solid choice for my stay, boasting a great location near ski resorts and Lake Tahoe. The campsites were well-kept, each with a table and fire pit. However, I found the restrooms in need of better maintenance, and the presence of bears at night made me wish for bear lockers.
The campsites are clean and spacious, equipped with amenities like picnic tables and fire pits.
The staff was friendly and helpful, making the stay enjoyable.
Conveniently close to ski resorts and Lake Tahoe, the location is ideal for outdoor activities year-round.
While I didn't dine on-site, the location allows easy access to nearby restaurants and grocery stores.
Many amenities were provided, though the restrooms could use a more frequent cleaning schedule.
